Prince of Peace Girls Senior High was founded by the then Metropolitan Arch Bishop of the Catholic Church of Kumasi, Most Rev. Dr. Peter Kwasi Sarpong, in October 1982 with Rev. Sr. Erlinda Macatol as the first Headmistress.
